Non-Event Stalls

For non-event overnight stalling please contact the fairgrounds office @ 605-355-3861 during business hours.
We are open Monday - Friday 8am to 4pm.

Stalls $45 & Electric boxes are $50 each per night.

After hours arrival must be arranged in advance.
We do not have staff on-site 24 hours.

Stalls will be available at the stalling office when you arrive starting on Thursday.

The stall office will be open the following hours:

Important Information

A current 30-day health certificate is required for each horse that will be stalled overnight.
EEVCIs and expired certificates will not be accepted.

The Back pens and Grandstand Arena are off limits
you are not permitted to use the pens or park in there.

Stall prices go up if you wait until you arrive

Cancellation Policy

*Stalls and camping are non-refundable - NO exceptions
Camping can not be booked online - it is only available at the stalling office on site upon arrival.

General Information

*Stalls are pre-bedded with bulk shavings
*Additional Shavings $15.00 per bag - while supplies last, inquire at the stalling office

*Electrical hookups are $50 per night - check with the stalling office for availability when you arrive.

*DO NOT clean your trailer out onto the ground & make sure you pick up after yourself.

*Water is on for the season, the bathrooms and showers are by the barns. Get the code from the stall office when you check in.

*Contestant camping is located in the stalling area only and is based on availability at the time of your arrival, we do not guarantee that spots will be available. Sites are limited, the amount of available electrical boxes is solely based on the conditions in the parking areas. You are encouraged to travel with a generator in the event that a plug-in is not accessible for your usage.

*Any damage to stalls, barns, or any fairgrounds property caused by you or your animals will be charged to you accordingly.

Stalls and camping are non-refundable, do not pay for camping unless you have found confirmed an available site with the stalling office. The campground east of the Event Center is separate from Contestant camping, this area is closed.


DO NOT PLUG INTO THE OUTLETS ON THE BARNS - THEY ARE NOT DESIGNATED FOR CAMPING

The following is not permitted in the James Kjerstad Event Center:

*No Outside Food / Drink / Alcohol – Our concessions is now in-house!
*No Scooters / Hoverboards / Bicycles – Safety is important!!!

*NO PETS ALLOWED - SERVICE ANIMALS ONLY.

Please make sure to clean up after yourself. This includes kids and horses too, we are here to provide a safe and clean facility.

*Central States Fair, Inc. and their employees will not be held responsible for loss of any personal property, injury, or loss of life for any person or animal at or during any of our hosted events.

*Using stalls and/or camping indicates that you agree to comply with the policies and understand that management reserves the right to cancel your reservations or make decisions as we see fit.

In the section below click the barn you would like to see the available stalls. Click on the barn maps above to see the layout of the barn, stud stalls are marked in red and underlined.

Please do not leave stalls in between, for maximum efficiency we reserve the right to move stalls and reassign you.

Barns 1 - 7 are in a row from east to west (7 is the east end by the open gravel lot / 1 is the west end by the wash rack)
Barn 2 is all stud stalls
The Stalling Office is north of Barn 7
