Each year, Central States Fair, Inc. members elect the organization’s Board of Directors and help guide the future of the fairgrounds and the events we all care about.

To vote in the 2026 Board of Directors election, your membership must be current on or before March 13, 2026.

  • GenPro Building – Central States Fairgrounds
  • 5 PM Social, 6 PM Dinner, 7 PM Meeting
  • Members will gather to:
    • Elect members to the Board of Directors
    • Recognize award recipients
    • Thank outgoing directors for their service
    • Celebrate the people who help make this organization strong

Central States Fair, Inc. is governed by a 14-member volunteer Board of Directors. Each Director serves a four-year term and is elected by the fair membership during the organization's annual meeting, held in March.

As a non-profit, member-driven organization, Central States Fair, Inc. is responsible for producing the annual Central States Fair and Black Hills Stock Show & Rodeo®, as well as managing the Central States Fairgrounds through a partnership with Pennington County.

Membership is valid for one calendar year after the date of registration & purchase. Voting eligibility requires joining or renewing membership at least 10 days prior to the Annual Membership Meeting.
